Post by Chrished »

Hi, First of all i love TMNF (and the now uninstalled TMN) even though is has some bugs/glitches.

But i got a question...:
Is there a version of TMNF on Linux?
Or can i get a patch for it?

I don't think so, TMF uses the Direct3D libraries, so unless they have been ported to Linux, you are out of luck.
Wham! BAM! Thank you ma'am!

Since NATIONS and UNITED are now basically the same game TMNF should work as well.

I can confirm that TMNF works fine under wine, have to disable compiz as usual, and i ended up using native d3d libraries (see the winetricks shell script for help there) for stabilities sake, but everything seems to run fine (I assume, never played under windows)

The graphics settings can sometimes need a bit of tweaking to get things stable, but once they are, its plain sailing

Agreed, works well under wine.

there are specifics as far as accelerated graphics drivers go.

here's the best resource:

edit: appdb is kinda messy; this one mentioned above is equally as useful
