Tm Server in a Box v3.1.1 is a nearly Idiotproof ALL-IN-ONE-Swissknife for those, who like to have a personal Dedicated Server with plugins without the need to configure something complicated.

A simple and nice Userinterface wrapped around 5 different types of Dedicated Server, 4 different Plugins, 2 versions of remoteCP, 1 complete Webserver and all of this is crunshed in a 20 MByte-Download!

See how the cat jumps at TM-Tube:
TmSiaB v3.1.1 Tutorial

TmSiaB v3.1.1 features:
* Simple Userinterface.
* Automatic configuration of Webserver, Dedicated Server und Plugin.
* Trackmania United Forever Dedicated Server (2010-03-15)
* Trackmania Original, Sunrise, Nations Dedicated Server (2006-05-30)
* Multipluginmanager ( start another Plugin on running Dedicated Server )
* RemoteCP v4.0.3.5
* Mistral Aseco v8.1
* remoteCP[LIVE] v4.0.3.5 + Adminmenu v1.5
* XAseco v1.10 + Fufi Widgets v0.80 & Fufi menu v0.32
* FAST v3.2.2c

( If you have any questions concerning "Dedicated Server", "remoteCP", "[LIVE]", "ASECO", "FAST": Please place them in the right threads! - I´m not the coder of this software! ^^ )

Extensive Administration:
* Complete control via RemoteCP3/4!
* In-Game-Control via XAseco, MistralAseco, Fast3 or [LIVE]

Systemrequirements:
* Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Win 7
* Internetexplorer min. Version 5
* TmSiaB as a download is about 20 MB. After installation TmSiaB will claim up to 150 MB discspace.
You´re able to install it to a Harddisk, Pendrive, CF-Card, CD... almost every datamedium which has a Windows-Driveletter ;)

Remarks:
* Because of functional restrictions of assembled webserver, TmSiaB has to be installed in the rootdirectory of your Harddisk or
Pendrive ( e.g.: C:\TmSiaB or D:\TmSiaB or E:\TmSiaB).
* If you´re using Skype: It necessarily must switched of or ports must be changed:
"Actions -> Options -> Advanced -> Connection -> Disable "Port 80 and 443 as a alternative for incomming connections" ( or something like that )."
* Nearly all serverplugin are related to the www today, for this reason these plugins will not run in LAN-Mode!

I wish to say "thank you" to:
Florent & NADEO - For the authorization to use the dedicated server software and the great game!! ^^
hal|sascha - for the authorization to use his "remoteCP" and "[LIVE]"
Mistral - for the authorization to use his Mistral Aseco
JFreu - for the authorization to use his ASECO-Plugin ( keep going the good work! )
Slig - for the authoriziation to use his FAST
Xymph - for the authoriziation to use his XAseco
last not least: To my clan XRated for the great support creating "TMU Server in a Box"

Pls feel free to give some feedback :D

Was waiting for the day that this would happen, didn't want to set up a virtual box (my HDD is crowded).

Great work, might be missing a few more functions. Just like editing the matchsettings just like the dedicated_cfg (just game mode and time limit, as a beginning)

Also would be a nice idea to add TPS GAseco (I used it in my server), you don't need much config, I'd do it for myself but don't know anythingabout programming.

I don't know if I've done something wrong, but when I set up a nations server, it won't display on teh server list, I just can join through tmtp:// or LAN.

Oh, and the address to Localhost has something wrong, it shows a 404 Not Found error.

And one last think that is crucial for me, a way to hide the processes, it's not cool to have two more apps in the taskbar.

Anyway, great to be a first version, keep up the good work 'cause you have a loyal customer :3

EDIT: The Apache server doesn't start. I've reinstalled TMSiaB, gave firewall access and it doesn't start, so I can't access RCP4

1. Thank you.

2. How to edit the dedicated_cfg.txt:
* At Tab "Setup", click "TMUNF Trackdir"
* Go up one level, so you are in folder "GameData"
* Enter folder "Config"
* There you are :D

3. How to edit the matchsettings (tracklist.txt) :
* At Tab "Setup", click "TMUNF Trackdir"
* Enter the folder "MatchSettings"
* There you are

4. Integration of GAseco :
There are 2 Asecoderivates in TmSiaB atm. I´m thinking, thats enough Aseco ^^
But... perhaps somewhere down the road ...

5. "I'd do it for myself but don't know anythingabout programming"
As it happens, I don´t know anything about programming, too :)
That´s no joke! All of this is a result of searching codesnippets via google, reading, thinking, reading again, paste them in one file, let it run, see the errors, thinking and reading again until it works. :lol:

6. "won't display on teh server list, I just can join through tmtp:// or LAN"
If you´re able to join via tmtp, the server will apear in server list! ( Will take some time )
Do you have entered the correct location on Accountcreation?

7. "The Apache server doesn't start":
If you have read and followed the "Remarks":
* If you´re using Skype: It necessarily must switched of or ports must be changed:
"Actions -> Options -> Advanced -> Connection -> Disable "Port 80 and 443 as a alternative for incomming connections" ( or something like that )."

Then...:

Thats a Firewallproblem. Try: deinstall TmSiaB, remove the Firewallsettings concerning "Apache HTTP Server (httpd.exe)", "mysqld-nt.exe", install again and set the firewallrules at the "pop-ups".
Or you give permission to these programs first:
After installation of TmSiaB, you´ve to set a exception for:
C:\tmsiab\config\webserver\mysql\bin\mysqld-nt.exe and
C:\tmsiab\config\webserver\apache2\bin\httpd.exe

8. "a way to hide the processes"
In my opinion: If you have serverprocesses running on a normal PC, you SHOULD see them because: If they are hidden, a normal user will never see any errors or notice a processcrash.
But, if you want to hide them: http://tinyurl.com/24wvf9j

Will integrate GAseco, when it´s stable :D

Over 300 downloads up to now...50% of it from germany, the other 50% from all over the world.

How about some feedback folks?

I really like this, only one question:
Why TM-SiaB don't load the configuration file? I already saved it, but no matter what I do, it just leave the spaces blank.
Can you help?

If you ever had clicked "Save Data" and "Configure Files" -> The configuration IS saved.

On every restart ( maybe the next day ?! ) you dont have to fill in any data -> Simply click at "Start Webserver", "Start TM-Server" and "Start Plugin".

Just ignore the blank spaces ( After restarting TmSiaB, you´ve to go straight to TAB: "Setup" and everything is ok ^^ )

Happy? :D

thank you MERLIN for the tool ,very usefull for a noobish like me

You´re welcome!
everything was going good until the other player tryed to access my server, no way
There could only be ONE problem: You dont have redirected the ports!
i take a look at my player page and i found that i haven't the right to manage a dedicated server
Your Playerpage?
If you want to establish a Server for Trackmania United Forever, then you have to create a Serveraccount at the playerpage.
If you own the FREE Trackmania Nations Forever: You have to create a second account ingame and not at the playerpage!
Once the account is created, you have to enter this data ( name and password ) in TmSiaB.
more the remote cp doesn't accepte my adminpassword
To login you have to enter your playername and the password "admin".
If you have changed it: You have to enter your changed pw ^^
so the server exist and i go back and forth in it , it looks great ( im happy with that )but what all this for is nobody get in and i can't mange it correctly ?
Note that the ports are redirected and i fixe my network ip , configured my public ip
And a second time: If you have redirected the ports, everyone will be able to join!
If you dont: Nobody will be...

I've downloaded this and looked at the setup. IMPRESSIVE is my first comment!

Having built the usbTMFserver pretty much in the same way I understood you've done (reading, editing and trying), you've come up with a more pro-looking setup I must say. :thumbsup:
Making it to work with every controller is great, and I know how much work is put in this.

What I don't understand is how you've included all this with just 21 MB. Do you have any tips to where I could look for links for creating a setup-file like you've done?
