Don't get your hopes up too much! They're also working on Shootmania remember? And they aren't that big of a dev team.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Forever-like update to add whatever auxillary features they have developed for Shootmania to Trackmania as well, and get the engine up to date with improvements they made for Shootmania (meaning not much new Trackmania-specific content).

But maybe I'm underestimating Nadeo again and they can work on 2 big things at the same time. I don't know, we will see :mrgreen:

also, of course I have to fulfil my traditional role of tm-forum pessimist here

Yes, appearantly it will be a sequel, Trackmania 2, and you'll be able to create custom blocks. There will be 3 environments.

I think this is the best option for continuing the Trackmania series really, even though most of the oldtimers probably won't like it, especially if the handling changes significantly.

wow, i hope there will be a handy blockeditor, because importing geometry means, that 95% of tm players won't be able to create blocks with textures.
