It is not okay for Ramiro and me

I tried with the dbug version too, and it says :

Code: Select all

Starting TmForever v2008-04-15b...
Unable to find a suitable system clock. Exiting...
   (clock_getres() = 147133758s + 150650240ns)
Strange to see that the seconds and ns are not the same than with the normal version ?

Anyway, it doesn't work better :(
I guess it's because this system doesn't support the "CLOCK_MONOTONIC" clock.
I'll try to add a fallback to another clock if this one isn't available.

out of curiosity, which kernel version is it? and which libc?

...ERROR: Your game version (2008-04-15) is no
longer supported by master server,
please update your game.
This just means you should download and use the new 2008-04-15b version...

Oops, my mistake: The windows executable in the 2008-04-15b version isn't the correct one...
sorry.
I'll try to fix this ASASP.

I get the same error message, but I'm pretty sure I've just downloaded the 'b' version...

The TrackmaniaServer_debuglogs.exe works fine, though. :P

When I ask : uname -r
I got : 2.4.33grs-bipiv-ipv4-32

and when I ask : /lib/libc.so.6
I got : GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.6, by Roland McGrath et al.

Thanks xbx for taking in account this pb, I would'nt like to change my dist since I 'm used to Debian for more than 6 years !!

Just another problem: the guestlist file seems not to work!

I defined a guestlist-filename in the server-configfile (<guestlist_filename>guestlist.txt</guestlist_filename>) and I entered valid data in that file.

If a player on guestlist want to join the server he can't without passwort!

When I start a LAN-Server the guestlistfile works, on the Internet-Server it doesn't work!

It doesn't load my config file correctly either. Although it says its loaded, the SuperAdmin password ive set is not working, as its using the default SuperAdmin as password.
Also i have to add /login= and /password= in the execution path, even though these are filled in the config file, he doesnt see them.

I defined a guestlist-filename in the server-configfile (<guestlist_filename>guestlist.txt</guestlist_filename>) and I entered valid data in that file.

If a player on guestlist want to join the server he can't without passwort!
I left <guestlist_filename> empty so it uses the default in GameData/Config/guestlist.txt, and manually added (via RPC utilities) some logins as guest. They show up fine with GetGuestList and the guestlist file also gets written correctly with SaveGuestList. So that part works fine.

However, because the server browser now requires the password before showing you the server info and players/challenges lists, it seems a guest player still needs to enter the password once to get this popup, and then the server lets you join without asking for the password (again) like with the previous games. That's the point where previously a guest player would be able to just click OK to connect.

The browser will also remember that you entered the password until you view another server's info, but thereafter upon returning to the passworded server it needs to be re-entered. So yeah, this isn't quite as smooth and logical like it used to be in TMN/TMU.

Hi,

Server works like a charm here (Linux), just wanted to report that the Playernames in the Replays
created with SaveBestGhostReplay (or how its called again :D) seem to be double-UTF8-encoded,
all the nonascii Chars look loke you open a UTF-8 encoded textfile in a text-editor that does not support it.

Btw., has anyone any numbers on bandwith usage, compared to the previous server?
Especially now since NetQuality on High is supported... looks pretty nice but seems to use much more ;)

I used to set mine to 1512/18192 which is good for 40-60 players but is way too low for the monsterserver we see nowadays (200+ players). That seting was an equivalent of 2mb/s bandwidth and really started to choke at 60 players.

I uped mine to 50000/70000Kbps , which is a rough 8 Mb/s troughput. it works for 200 players. (on a good server that has a dedicated 100mbps
