Hey I Need Help With Painting The Car.
Allways When I Go To Paint My Car For Example... Red
iT Says That The File Is For Read Only... Why I Can't
Change My Car Color For Red?!

Save the car using you own car name instead. The standard cars are write protected (they can be read, but not written over)....SO save your own!

Save your own painted 2D car skins as something you will remember and recognise, so you can find them easily in the garage slots.

When I'm trying "save as" it doesn't work. It says:
"Could not create skin. Wrong URL?"
And NO the url is not wrog please help me I dont now what to do...

Oddly enough the URL is wrong! :thumbsup:

Adding a standard URL prefix of "http://" then your car name is acceptable to the game.

For instance : "mycarislost.zip" generates an "incorrect URL" message.
...while : "http://mycarislost.zip" is accepted

The question really is why do you even bother to type a URL in at all? I have no idea what the point of the URL entry field is, so it'll likely be for a mania link or some such undocumented (two sets of instructions, and the PDF in the game install folder (HINT) don't even mention it!) feature that so far doesn't appear to do much if anything.

If that's the case (you'll possibly find info on this is you SEARCH THE FORUM!), you'll still have to form the full website type URL correctly.

It's all just so much easier if you ignore the URL field altogether, and just type the car name into the dark slot above "Select URL". The car's painted 2D skin will still be saved into the proper folder structure, it'll still appear in a garage slot, and you'll still be able to use it in the game.

I've got a lot of 2D carskins. :pil I have own team skins too. :roflol: I have so much 2Dskins, I think I get millions of coppers if I host it on my own manialink. :( One problem: I have no manialink!!!! :? :|

I am having the same issues, however, (after changing the cars name) I change the design, I hit that "Save as" button the screen freezes, turns black, and I am left with a little blue message saying my driver crashed.
