Windows 8 TrackMania ESWC problem

Hello everyone.

Recently, i started playing TrackMania again and I wanted to reïnstall TrackMania ESWC again. But i constantly keep getting the following message:
Your operating system does not meet minimal requirements.
Of course this is nonsense because i've got a quadcore gaminglaptop.. but this is probably caused by the fact TM ESWC is an old game.

Is there a anyone who had the same problem and could fix it?
Or just someone who knows about this stuff?

I tried the following:
- Administrator boot
- Other compabilitymode
- With a resolution of 640 x 480
- 8 bit colormode

but it all didn't work..

Plz help. cause the game is awesome!

Try:
- update it from 1.7.5 to 1.7.9 (if needed)
- update it from 1.7.9 to 1.8.0 My upload
- click on the icon right on mouse, poperties, compatiblity, checkbox must be checked for selector and then select random Win XP versions, accept and try start game via "TmNationsESWC.exe" not launcher please.
