ESWC November/December pack released

Post by ESWC-Sylvain » 09 Oct 2008 09:40

The ESWC Organizing Committee has finalized the selection of the 5 maps for the November/December pack according to the public vote. The selected maps are:

ESWC-11-01: Aboorigin
ESWC-11-02: ESWC Garit 1
ESWC-11-03: Lockdown
ESWC-11-04: ESWC Train
ESWC-11-05: Blackdark

You can download the new pack at ftp://ftp.eswc.com/regulations/2009/fil ... F_pack.rar.

We worked with their creator to reduce the FPS drop issue. If there is still FPS problem with a map we will modify again it and update the pack.

First of all I would have a little question: Did you really test maps before choosing them?

Because seriously these maps are so horrible like techfaculty by Dec , It is to wonder how this map was chosen.

After maps with 9999999 coppers with an average of framerate has 60 (cf Chocolate-flavoured Train by kryw) or else darktroll in whom you have many fps-lost ( 150 fps to 60 fps ) great genial!!!

Has so there good ramiro Jr there I am going to be nicer I would say righteous man: it is necessary to like the earth what is not my case but this token it is just like that it is everything:p

Finally he does not stay more than the map of hipp-e (Train eswc) who is agreeable.
Can you add a new choice like that :
"Do a new pack plz" :D

Edit : moreover I have tested some one of other sent maps and there has several of it who would have been worth being in this preselection pack.

Yes we tested all of them... and we didn't suffered of so much framerate loss. What is your pc configuration please?
This step is also to have the comeback of players like yours. We can afterward ask the map's author to try to reduce the number of coppers if it caused too much problem for the players. And again this is a preselection, not the final map of the pack.

Hello :)

I give you my opinion about the 10 préselective maps (good read xD) :

.Chocolate Rain (by Kryw) : This map is a little fullespeed ;), the start begins with a boost. All the long of this map, There are never needed to curb... just drift, drift and drift. :(
The respawn at the all Chekpoint are ugly and too penalizing because the map is too full speed...But the end of this map is very very nice and well imagined :)
So it's not a map for ESWC, but a good map for fuuuun ! :D

.Lockdown (by Dec) : It's really good map ! Good tech, the obstacles are diversified, and the respawn isn't too penalizig.
Maybe, one only default, it's the lenght. The map is very short, i think there will be 56 or 55sec for the best players...
Conclusion, it's a good map for ESWC :1010

.Techfaculty (by Dec) : This map is very very very very xD technical ! :roflol: It's a tee obtsacles... :grmblz:
So, i don't think that it's a ESWC map

.BlackDark (by Darktroll) : This map is good, at ~45sec there are a original passage !
But, there are not a dirt part... "Why the dirt is so bad love?" xD
If she will be chose, it's a good ESWC map. :1

.Blue Mind (by Darktroll) : It's a average map, but this quickly becomes a map fullespeed. It's Pity
It'snt i good map for ESWC.

.ND ESWC Garit 1 (by Garit) : Good map, good tech ! :3 I like this map :!:
And, i think that : it will be fun if this map will be choose. :D

.ND ESWC Garit 2 (by Garit) : I don't like this map, maybe because it's the same turn in all of this map. :?
For me, it'snt a ESWC map...

.Train ESWC (Hipp-E) : This map is good, but not original. It's always the same genre of map... drift drift, not dirt part... :(
At the fourth CP, we don't respawn. ;( The end is well.
The map will can be a ESWC map, but i think that there are more good maps.

KaSslageriouM and AboOrigine : it's my maps, so no comment xD

ps : I'm running out of idea xD

Cya ! :lovetm

my configuration :
-E6420
-ATI radeon X1950 pro
-2 go ram

I'm not the only who is lagging on kryw's map .

hhmmm ramirojr techfaculty its not a tech map its lol map , its nodrift land :D

I think that mappers should put least decors possible because it is maps of competition therefore they give up not to look at decors closely, it would be just necessary to make of "light version"

Any comments on the maps that didn't make it? To me, my map seems better than most of these 10 :roflol:

Zooz your track is good but it is too long for an ESWC track.

I will try to see with Kryw if he can reduce the fps drop on his chocolate map's.

Ramiro what do you call a dirt part? Something with hard turn or with a lot of obstacles?

and i love train ESWC again :)

But i have always problem with techfaculty its so crazy map xD and there is a landding bug in the dirt part
and this during round its not acceptable in eswc map i think.

Really? Then maybe don't say it can be up to 1:30. My track was 1:12.70... That's shorter than 1:30 even if you drive really badly.

My track was right in the middle of that range...
Or did you mean something else there?

Hi,
The prepack is not very good :? It doesn't value the previous packs from 1-2 years...
The "Chocolate Train" of Kryw had too much coopers. I play with an average of 24 fps on it, it's impossible to play matches with this lag. My configuration isn't good and i already play with low graphics to avoid low fps ...

I hope that the final packmap will be composed by better maps

Oh yes, please ! In october pack, it's the case on several maps for me, when a lot of things between the roads, I guess.

For Train ESWC I asked his creator to reduce the number of coppers. It is a good map but at some times there are a few fps drops yes.
No the selected maps won't be used for the week-end of the 1st November in France. There isn't enough time to practice on it of course.

The selection of the five maps is done. We are waiting all the maps renamed and we are looking with their authors to avoid fps drop on them before releasing it.
