Hi Sylvain,

Just a question; During the match can there also be a shoutcaster that speaks english as most is done in french. Don't mind it but i think for other people its nice to know the map aswell in English.

Code: Select all

tmnforever is nations and united makes it special. tmnforever has united. I need united!

Well it is hard to tell you if there will be a shoutcaster in English for the ESWC Grand Final 2009. It mainly depends of the next location of the final. For example this year in U.S.A. the shoutcaster was in English, and the previous year in French. It depends of the nationality of the location and the spectators there.

Frostbeule, when we do it in France we have to do the shoutcast in French or the spectators won't understand what's going on in English. Maybe it isn't a problem in Sweden to do it in English but in most of the non-english countries it is better to do it in their native language.

But like that the Tournement will not be a World Cup, but a Local Cup. As far as i know, all World Cup presentations are made in English, as it is consider the Universal Language! Just my opinion! :lovetm

Yes . .as is this forum english based to make sure "most" can understand ... I have to say im with flash and frost on this (convenient for me and englishman i know  )

PS. Can we have a spec limit applied to the spec relays this time? as they ALL choked (Froze) and the race was not visable on any of the 5 relays as far as im aware

I don't really see the point of a final if some players starts with advantages... even more if they are already the favorite. It makes the final double biased. I understand that the winner bracket players would like to have a easier win, but looser bracket is already more stressed before the final, because you can not loose, while in winner, you know that you can loose one time.. except for the real final off course.
thats exactly the reason why ESWC switched a long time ago now all other game tournaments to single elimination.

If you do a double elimination, you have to put in an advantage, else loosing into the winner bracket final maybe becomes a curious additional advantage by becoming more experienced on the tournament equipment, get more into your flow and get additional train against real opponents.

Choosing the first map is just a fake advantage, would just be one if the maps will be announced only 2 days before the tournament starts ;)

so put in a real advantage or just make a single-elimination tree.

i rly dunno if a 10 points advantage there is the real clue now and if that is the correct amount, but i also dont see other ways in a 1n1n1n1 mode.

ye nice to point that out and easy solvable. just make a master relay with limited slots, where only dedicated relays are allowed to connect and let the community connect their own relays. kind of a P2P concept ;)

Maybe it's an idea to have 2 commentators, one for the people watching at home(in English) and one at the eswc(who can do it in French)
