You can download the official pack of tracks which will be used at ESWC Masters of Paris here: ftp://ftp.eswc.com/regulations/2008/masters_paris/files/trackmania/ESWC_Masters_Paris_TMNF_pack.rar

10- Tracks don’t have to involve Media Tracker during the race, even to help during a looping. Players have to manage their point of view themselves. However, it is possible to use Media Tracker at the beginning of a track to introduce it, or at the ending to provide a finishing sequence.

that's a bit misleading?

1. CAN we use mediatracker (e.g. cam3 for a loop/wallride) or are we not allowed to use any ingame MT ?

2. can we make a normal intro/outro for the track or only very little mt?

You can use MT for a looping.. you don't have to though.
I made a track and didn't put MT for a loop. It's actually better without in my track.

"Players have to manage their point of view themselves."
MT should NOT be used for a looping.

That doesn't mean a mapper cannot put MT in the looping imo.
Clarification is required, but from the previous postings too, it's my understanding that ESWC recommends/prefers no MT in the loopings, as its up to the players to manage their view, but it is not completely disallowed.

As i understand criteria 10, it means MT only allowed at the beginning and end of a track. Imho MT during loops is only for newbies who dont know how to swich camera. I myself am quite annoyed by auto MT during loops/wallrides or whatever while driving.

I don't see how it is unclear. Intro/outro fine, but no in-game MT.

well i talked to some drivers and they dont really appreciate switching camviews themselves, they say the "cam2" players would have a natural advantage over the cam3 players, because these would have to switch, while the cam2 players wouldnt during a loop/wall...

I play with Cam3 but i prefer switch into Cam2 by myself :)

For me the main problem is that Eswc.france & Masters will be played during the same weekend at Paris Bercy, so french players selected to Masters have to train on 8+5 = 13 maps! which is quite a lot :P

Taken into account the previous mappacks, I don't think the specifications are obligatory.

Finally, ESWC provides a good map-pack!

Awesome maps whom are both challenging and enjoyable to drive.
Well done :)
