Yes, community code is linked to password. If I put the same pass in TMO and TMS I get identical community codes, if they are different, the codes are different.

Hmmm - I'm using the same pw @ any tm-game (tmo/tms/tmn/tmu) plus email address, have an identical community code (CC) @ tmo/tms/tmn AND tmu, but I got another, different CC in tmu!?

maybe nadeo/focus is reconfiguring its CC structure...

nevertheless: it works

They're just linked, the CC is not generated on what the password is. CC is generated randomly I guess

What is a role of community code? For what things it can be useful? For what things I need to know it?

The community code is generated by nadeo and bound to your login. Sites are allowed to use this code for authorization, but I don't know how this is done in detail. TM base used the TMN community code in their login. This is quite sweet to prevent people from creating multiple accounts as in TMU you only have one login and the corresponding community code...

I couldn't login to ManiaZones right after registering, so I tried again multiple times the next day, and the next, and the next.
One day it suddenly worked, and I realised I'd used an old community code from TrackMania Sunrise which I luckily save in a text file somewhere.
I logged out, tried again with the CC I get from my Player Page (and in-game), but that simply doesn't work.

My user name is "Retodon8" for TMN, TMS, and TMU, and I use the same password for all games too.
(Actually I originally had a different password for TMN, but I changed that to be identical too my TMS one once I got that.)

Is there a way to synchronize the two CC's or something like that?
(I did also notice a feature that supposedly allows me to actually pick my own CC in the ManiaZones profile page thingy, but I dare not touch that without knowing if I'm supposed to, since I doubt picking your own CC is even possible.)
It's a minor annoyance having two codes, especially since the tools don't report the one that actually works. :)
Thanks!

You have to send an e-mail request to have your password sent to you. This may take some time and can be diffucult.
