Thought the same ...
Why are all actions shown, even if i add a server to my favorites? Nobody needs to know, if i rework my server list or if i delete a friend. And additionally, no one asked me, if i wanne be in this maniahome thing. If i have to be in it, then i would like to configure it, so that i can be in a steahlt mode (as it is possible in other social networks). If not, then add a button to disconnect me off the manialink, as it is on "ManiaCup".
Thx in advance.

I think this notifications is a nice system, concerning maniacup, but it's half-baked at it is now.

I'm gonna think about it
But notice that privacy settings are pretty sensible thing for every one.

I agree with Mistral, I got a kind of "Big BrotheR" feeling, like everyone (friends of friends) see's every move you make... not pretty as well...

friends of your friends can't see your notification except if you talk to them on their wall, or with the tag system (@login). Then in those two specific situation friends of your friends see only the related notifications not your usual notifications.

But they see every move you make, and i see their's..

When they add a server, download a map, add a friend, if you start a conversation every single friend you have can start talking along in that conversation...

Its nice too know what your friends do and otherwise, but i think there should be a better limit of what you see, I dont have to know what they do, or which friends they add.
That still makes it a bit "Big Brother"

But further its a very nice tool. Its fun to see everyone can be so well connected and so close. :-)

Somehow its sad that you even have to ask for and discuss about privacy settings.

They were already considered as being "sensible", but were just not done.

Facebook, Google and all the other social networks are in the press almost every week because of lack of privacy.

And what does Trackmania offer as first shot (thats what i hope it to be): No privacy at all. Not even an opt in. Not even an opt out!

Hello world!?

I agree with the privacy stuff mentioned above.

Like many other avid players, I have over 200 buddies in TM. This means I already have 68 pages of "events". Okay, I've been keeping up with stuff as it's been happening... but that's still a lot of stuff to look back through if I wanted to check for new comments on events.

Two things would be nice:

- To be able to dismiss events you're no longer interested in.

- To have some sort of notification/bump when a conversation you've participated in has received a new comment.

I just found a bug:

If you´re not a premium member, you have to wait 5 seconds to visit the page you want (like a manialink).
But when I click on the refresh button, while I have to wait the 5 seconds, TM crashes. I use the 2.11.26 version ;)

Nice one, but it would be nice if there is an option to turn on the notifications/switch off them.

It also would be a nice option to unsubscribe from this whole thing.
I think some players like their own life, without having the feeling by making every step being followed up by all your friends.

Its the same now as Hyves, Facebook and so on. if my friends want to know where i am or what im doing, or who I just met. They can ask...

It now feels like i have no privelege at all anymore... I totally agree on Mistral's point...

I dont say its not a nice option, but it would be better if every player has a free choice of joining that community or not...

For people who wants some privacy, I've updated ManiaHome, and now you have access to privacy settings
