For any forum admin who wish to add 'tmtp' to their BB codes here's how...

Go to ACP>Posting>Custom BB Codes...

For 'Usage' add: [join={TEXT}]{TEXT2}[/join]
and for HTML: <a href=tmtp://#join={TEXT}>{TEXT2}</a> note: no quotations around link!
click 'Display on posting page' and posters will now have a 'join=' BB like the 'server=' one here.

What's the story with the #spectate link? If I use tmtp://#spectate=admin_ninja for our server it just works the very same as tmtp://#join=admin_ninja

???

Thanks Ace,

if you use #sectate you join the server as spectator ;)

btw, is there a possibility to have a link with passwort?
maybe something like this: tmtp://#join=server&pw=123

I have made an 'ad' for the fufi widgets which palces a link on the HUD to add the server to favourites... tmtp://#addfavourite=admin_ninja. When the link is clicked it does add the server to favourites but in the process it also exits the player from the server. Is there any way around this?

No you don't. You join as player. But I think #spectate is a WIP for 'TV' servers?

How can I find out, what's name of server, where I just played. For example, I was on server $i$w$o$f00Ð$800a$400r$200k $000? Road, but tmtp://#join= doesn't work with that string. I know IP, of this server, but on that IP are 4 servers and I can't get on this. Also I know serverID, but I don't know syntax to make that link functional.

You need the server login.

tmtp://#join=login

I was hoping to make a list of popular servers for our forum but I don't see a way to get the login of a server you are on without actually asking an admin.

You type /serverlogin in the server chat to find out.

[quote="Florent"]To use tmtp with short manialinks, you should use this syntax :

tmtp:///:YourManialink

the 3 characters '/' after "tmpt:" are needed
because otherwise web browsers (like IE, Firefox,...) add a '/' at the
end of the manialink.

You mean before and aftor TmTP right :P

Don't use the {TEXT} in the first statement, malicious users can inject nasty things like that.
The safe way is:
[manialink={IDENTIFIER}]{TEXT}[/manialink]
------
<a href="tmtp:///:{IDENTIFIER}">Visit the {TEXT} ManiaLink</a>
------
Starts TrackMania Forever and connects to a ManiaLink. Example: [manialink=<yourmanialink>]Description of ManiaLink[/manialink]

The same counts for the other tmtp links of course.
