Hi, Thanks for your time reading this. If you don't authenticate can you join a team. Some people I have spoken too swear balck and blue they didn't authenticate, some say they couldn't join without authenticating. Any ideas ????

Two accounts same key?

Post by PenguinMan98 » 04 Aug 2006 21:28

My wife and I both play TMNations. I ordered a copy of TM from an online store and it is on the way (Similar to Pin) but I'm also confused as to whether I can activate both of our accounts with the same key, or if I have to buy another copy of the game.

I think Florent said you can only authentificate one account one time with a key. Otherwise someone could just put his key up on the internet for everyone to use...

I e-mailed NADEO about this but their response was something to the effect of: We don't provide support for TM-Nations because we don't charge for it. Check the forums.

I'm pretty sure you're right though. To activate two different accounts, whether on the same pc or not, you will need 2 different codes. It sucks but that happens. Gives me an excuse to buy Sunrise.

Hey, It Keeps Telling Me That I have a Login/Password Error, does it matter if its lower case or uppercase?

Yes you can, go to https://www.trackmanianations.com
Log in with your TMN account and at the bottom fill in team name and password. If an other player wants to join he needs to enter same team name and password

Uploading may take some few moments...

And, it may use too much bandwith, depending of the server, making impossible to send the data for everyone.

Yeah there are some ports you should make sure are open, and forwarded to your machine if you want to share skins. If you're behind a router with NAT you need to set it up to forward requests on port 2350 or something along those lines for you to be able to serve your stuff. That's what needs to be open for you to have a server running, not quite sure if it's the same port for P2P though.

If buying United via Steam is there a way to authenticate?

Yes you can authenticate both United and Nations with the player key from your Steam install. It's in the Nadeo.ini file.
