Dedicated server for TMF, version 2010-03-15

Hello!

I've been quite busy lately, but I got some time to make a (very) little update to the dedicated server:

Dedicated server for TMF, version 2010-03-15 2.11.26

Changes:

fixed ForcePlayerTeam()
"disable_coherence_checks" is now "laps" by default.


And here is as well a small update for the game, that fixes a few last glitches before being pushed to everyone, including nations players (if every thing goes as planed):
The only notable change being that:

the binks in manialinks and mediatracker images now work with transparency.

so hopefully, at some point, everyone will be running the exe same version at last...

Transparancy in biks. This will bring a lot of good to server controllers like TPS I think :)

Was this update's main goal to fix a problem with wrong displaying of a player position after passing 250 CPs on dedicated servers? Just curious. :)

i guess not, xbx would have indicated it if fixed, as i reported him the problem. Btw we will see when testing ;)

unfortunately not..
this limit is deeply hardcoded (stupid bad code!) in both the client and the server, and changing it is really too risky to do at this point. :(

It's not about 250+ cp on a track, but 250+ on a full race in Laps mode, which happens most time in FET races ;)

Ah, thanks for the clarification. So maybe it's a good idea to shorten those FET races a bit. :wink:

Ewww what a horrible concept ... i was hoping we could make it longer myself :thumbsup:

It is after all "an endurance series" :D

it's only the yellow cp times which show stupid things, all other is working
(except the BestCheckpoints which is incomplete at the end, but that is not a real problem as the script don't use it in Laps mode)

Exactly what doesn't work? What steps did you take and what error did you encounter? We're not clairvoyant here... :roll:

Make sure you read this post and followed the first half of this Quick Start Guide before answering the above.
