Over the last few releases, I've been having an issue with the dedicated server randomly dropping tracks from the tracklist. There's no certain tracks it seems to pick out, and there's nothing at all in any of the logs.

Any ideas..?

Making a mode just for a loadscreen can be troublesome. If you don't do it right, specifically the mipmaps to DXT1 without alpha channeling, it will kick some users randomly at the loadscreen but not others or it can take a long time to load.
DXT1 without alpha..? My original is DXT5, in both TMNF and TMUF.

I tried again with no success yesterday... worked fine for most, but a few users crashed to desktop after a dozen rounds or so (previous rounds, loadscreen mod displayed fine for them).

Well, suppose worth another try..

Edit: Now DXT1c shows as DXT3... guess i have a problem somewhere...

Hey Guys, few days ago i set up a new Server "QFA Racing"
Everytime we drive the "D01-Endurance" i get banned for "Time Incoherence"-Reason
The thing is: I've added the passage for disabling those Checks, but that doesn't work for me.
I'm using XAseco 1.10, have a forced mod per forceMods-Plugin for Loadscreen and use FuFi's Plugins, e.g. Widgets, Menu and Queue...
Can anyone help me?

I'm sorry I don't know, but have you tried the latest dedicated ?

Edit: Or maybe you have it like this ?

Code: Select all

<!-- <disable_coherence_checks>laps</disable_coherence_checks> -->
If thats the case, then change it to this :

Code: Select all

<disable_coherence_checks>laps</disable_coherence_checks>

Yep, both are
I will find the specific track which caused it, so if you like you can test it.

There are 2 checkpoints at the same place (a classic road one inside a ring one), are you really thinking that it's strange to get incoherence errors with such stupid hexa mapping case ???

Latest dedicated versions are more strict than older one, to try to limit a little some kind of cheating.

I agree, the cp placement is a bit silly on that track - i'd just remove it from the server if I was you.

You really disappoint me Slig, I always respected your posts here on this forum, but flaming me that way.. I dont know **** of blokmixing cause im involved in to many other projects in this community. If i knew that already i would not ask here right?

Back on topic.
My curiosity arose around this because that incoherence option in de dedicated.cfg has prevented this since it was made public. I have had other tracks with crossing cp's and that option was doing its job.

So, what does this one make it diffrent....

I'm not really flaming you but the mapper.
Anyway you could have seen by yourself, after having noticed a specific problem on that map, that there were someting strange in the checkpoints of the map ;)

I think that it's partially a coincidence : the dedicated probably included some more strict checkpoints tests in the same version that the option came (and the option came public to help to avoid problems with some kind of maps in Laps, and so permitting to relax a little the more strict checks in such cases)
