more often that what version?
2009-08-01 ? some older version still?

(because they are almost no changes between 2009-08-01 and 2009-10-09, so I'm wondering.
But I'm afraid I think I may give up debugging it and just add an option to remove the automatic Ban()..)
Yep, ran 2009-08-01 before.
I think I can now say that it only affects multilap maps when you are in one of the "flying start" laps.
If the bug occurs you will get banned when you cross the finish line after a few rounds.
It just happened again for two players on one map, and there were only 7 players...

Well its understandable that this might be hard to debug, as you certainly don't want to play some multilap races all day until the bug occurs, but it seems that it would not take too long to get this bug in the current version.

If you add an option to disable the check, could you make it so that you can choose to only disable it on multilap tracks?
As in general it is pretty nice to have some checks against cheaters.. :)

Thx a lot for adding this :) Even if it seems the incoherence check is still not running completely correct like Zahl and others report :(

Hi there

I have a Question regarding the Guestlist for big Tournaments.
I think in the release before that one here xbx stated, that its now possible to use that.

We opened a Server with 0 Player-Slots. Guests joined and everything was fine until 20 Players was reached. Then no one was able to join anymore.

The guestlist was 250 Players big.

Did we something wrong or is this maybe a bug?

Thx
Pesky

Only 5 Specslots.....We used Relayservers for speccing.
Didnt try to raise them.
We really would like to make the next Tournament without Password. But we need 250 ppl on the List.

maybe you can try this as a work around:
1) Set some random password
2) set the player count to the number you want, let's say 100. (you can't have 250 players + spectators on the replays. there's a technical limitation that the number of players + number of spector on any one replay must be < ~250)
3) you add the players to the guest list, so that you don't need to communicate the password.

(but I'll fix this in the next version, not forgetting to count the players in the guest list..)

thx for the answer

yes, i know about the 250 Limit. I have set the Relays for 25 specs. We use 2 Gameservers for the Tourney with 125 Passworded Playerslots then.
Would be great if you can fix that Problem that no Password is needed in the future.

I have an issue with the Guestlist.

My settings are :
- 24 player slots
- 0 spec slots
- a pass for player join
- no pass for specs

Before this release, players on the guestlist were able to join the server without the pass, in player or spec mode.

Now, they need the pass to join in player mode, but they can connect in spec mode without problem.

damn. you're right...
the password check is no longer skipped for guestlisted players at connected time.

and, as you said, the workaround (until I fix it!), is to connect as spectator and then switch to player without typing the password.

When can we expect your update?

BTW, I have to make a compliment - the tmfservers are using just a little peace of ram and cpu usage, even on a 600mhz cpu with 1gb ram. :) Each release is better - go on :)
