Post by xbx » 01 Aug 2009 17:09

hi all!

Yet an other release!

Dedicated server for TMF, version 2009-08-01
You can download it from
http://files2.trackmaniaforever.com/Tra ... -08-01.zip
or
http://files2.trackmaniaforever.com/Tra ... -08-01.tgz

Changes:
  • Fix the a warning when the xml-rpc admin password is not changed and foreign connections are allowed
  • it is now possible to start a server with 0 players and a guest list.
  • Fix a security issue.
I didn't test it much, so please consider it a beta release.. ;)

xavier.

Hi xbx,

good work.
Excuse me if i do this question,
but what about alpha channel on the bink movie on ingame manialink?
(avatar works but movie no if i use <quad blabla blabla image="blabla.bik" />) it always have black background.

Can be this feature improved soon?

I have 10 plugin ready with this feature that will be fantastic and will transofrm the game completely.
But without this bug solving i can't use them.
Please help me at least 1 time.

Thx and greetings.

no..
unfortunately it's a client side issue, in the datas. So it's not as easy to fix as making a dedicated server update...

Maybe you can just make a forced client side update once. There has to be one sometime :)

You didn't help, because you included no details or proof. What do you expect, that xbx is clairvoyant?

hi,

i have some problems with the latest build 2.11.22 using Debian Etch 32bit (2Ghz, 2GB RAM).
The CPU usage is over 30% when 20 or more players are connected to the server.

I tried it with 2.11.21 on the same Server and the CPU usage is under 15%.

Can anybody confirm this issue ?
