usbTMFserver 2.2 (2008-05-25) (old version)

Post by lille79 » 25 May 2008 14:46

Hi again!

I have now updated the usbTMFserver to version 2.2. Not many updates, but have updated XASECO and RemoteCP.

Contents in usbTMFserver 2.2:
- usbwebserver (downloaded from http://www.usbwebserver.com)
- Dedicated Trackmania Forever server, release 2008-05-19
- RemoteCP-4.0.1.4 Thanks to hal|Sascha (option to also use RemoteCP-3 (3.3.3) (disabled not working database-plugin)
- Xaseco v0.99b Thanks to Xymph
- Website stats for TMN Aseco+Rasp v1.9b Thanks to Cypher80 (fixed by Assembler Maniac, and got good help from OLD/Kjell.T.Ring getting it to work) (haven't documented installation of this yet, but easy setup tips are included in the config-file)

This is a more updated version of the usbTMFserver. The first release was a rather quick release to give you all the possibility to setup a server right after the Dedicated server and Xaseco for TMF was released. This one is a bit newer, with a newer dedicated, a newer RemoteCP, a newer Xaseco and the latest Website stats (with working banners).

A link to more about my previous releases for TMN can be found:
for TMNations
First for TMForever
2.15 version

For the people that aren't familiar with the first usbTMNserver, I can tell you that this is a full Dedicated Server with all functions and specs with aseco to handle records, all the functions from Xymphs latest Xaseco release and the great RemoteCP to control the server. The only thing you need to do is forward your ports(which I have specified in the Setup and Tips-file), and edit two files to get the server up and running.

I have written a Setup_and_tips-file for you to read before installing the server, so I highly recommend that you read it to get a successful result.

Known issues:
- Some people have trouble with RemoteCP in Windows Vista
- RemoteCP doesn't seem to work in other browsers than Firefox
- I have tried to get the english as correct as possible, but I'm not native english speaking, so bare with me :)

Hope you like this release also :)

Here's the download link:

To those who are using 2.15, I have made an update from 2.15 to 2.2, (small update of around 2 MB), and that can be downloaded here:
http://files.filefront.com/update+215+t ... einfo.html

Update 2008-06-14: Have released an updated Xaseco to update your usbTMFserver 2.2. (Please don't update from older releases than 2.2)
The update can be downloaded here:

Hi,

What's the difference between the stats1 and stats2 directories?

TIA,

Nick.

The stats 1 directory is for the 1st server, and the stats2 is for the second.

Hello Mate
was just wondering is the usbTMN server pakage
or the Xaseco could be updated to have an Admin pannal and a player list that could be setup and used like the one in Aseco 2.1.6

example\
Player warn add mute kick ban blacklist

that all you would need to do was do /Players and a window opens with these commands
and all you need to do is click on the command you want to do like add a player to guestlist or kick a player...

That isn't possible in TMN ESCW-servers :) Not to my knowledge that is... Xaseco is Xymph's great work, so he might explain it better, but I don't know of any possiblities of making such panels in TMN...

This is done in XAseco v1.00 on TMF with /admin players (not the public /players command).
It is impossible on original TMN because those windows can contain at most two buttons to give input back to the server controller (so typically they are Close and Next).

Btw, this question belonged in the usbTMNserver thread.

I have done that in this thread already! Just scroll a little bit.

the usbTMFserver is in version 2.2 and is easily upgradeable with Xaseco 1.0 if you use the link a few posts earlier in this thread.
the usbTMNserver is in version 1.95, and there it is the Xaseco 0.95 that is included. An upgrade shouldn't be very difficult, but I'll be away for a few weeks on holiday, so it's probably not going to be easy for me to use the internet that much. Either way, you won't get panels in TMN
