Dedicated Server for TMF "2008-04-16"

Post by xbx » 16 Apr 2008 16:33

Here is the dedicated for Trackmania United Forever and Trackmania Nations Forever.

You can download it from
http://files2.trackmaniaforever.com/Tra ... -04-16.zip
or
http://files2.trackmaniaforever.com/Tra ... -04-16.tgz

(both contain the same files, and windows and linux executable.)

Changes from 2008-04-15b:
  • now correct version for the windows exe
  • fixed rare crash in P2P
  • SetForcedMusic(False,"") now works
  • fixed timestamp in ConsoleLog
  • (linux) fallback to CLOCK_REALTIME if CLOCK_MONOTONIC isn't available.

Okay if u want this to work with windows xp service pack 2 do this.

open notepad and enter this:"

TrackManiaServer.exe /internet /dedicated_cfg=dedicated.txt /game_settings=MatchSettings/white.txt

some explaining:
TrackManiaServer.exe = is the nadeo starter for server
/internet = otherwise it will be /lan
/dedicated_cfg=dedicated.txt or .cfg but didnt test it.

/game_settings=MatchSettings/white.txt or any other thing you might want to call this works with the new release xbx gave out.

Code: Select all

tmnforever is nations and united makes it special. tmnforever has united. I need united!

That's because the version in the other topic contained the wrong .exe file. :)

I take it that I wont need to create a new account?....I can use my existing TMU account for the server?

Sorry....its been over a year since I setup my TMU server, so am a bit rusty .... and currently having probs adding that txt command to the server line via windows server 2003 SP2...... doesnt want to accept it, says there is an error in changing the command/target line.....

Any ideas on the above 2 points please?

perhaps a step by step guide if possible??

oh....while i am here, I use onyx to control my server, ..... will i still be able to use onyx for TMU-F ???

Which UDP Port does it need ? 2350 is opened and should be accessible ?

Thx !

2350 should be open for UDP and TCP, and 3450 (P2P) for TCP too.

Okay problem solved, seems like you must not enter the IP in "binding_IP" setting in the config file. If I leave that entry empty, it works !
