í've got it working on another box now, it's running another linux distro

Kernel Version 2.6.8 (SMP)
Distro Name Fedora Core release 2 (Tettnang)

i've just unpacked it, changed the dedicated.cfg standard values and it worked immediatelly..

about DT_UNKOWN error:

In the 2006_01_29 version (and older), there is an issue that prevents it to run on some linux systems. (it seems to never work when on a reiser filesystem, and it seems to work on ext2 filesystems)

I think I fixed it, and it'll work in the next version; but for now, there is no workaround. I'm sorry.

big thnx for the info. indeed, the working version of the server is using ext2 filesystems and the suse version is using a reiser filesystem. i'll stay tuned. thnx :)

first, the specs are in the log file....next time, Take time to read, or learn how to read a log file...top of the log....

2nd, NEXT time YOU use google make sure you find something relevant.

I've run the dedicated servers for as long as it's been around through a remote desktop connection (equivalent to a windows server 2000-2003 terminal services session under Windows XP). until version 0125 there were no problems doing so.

I just reported the problem and posted the logs to help the developers fix the problem as it wasn't present in previous release of the dedicated server.

And last, when you will reach the position i have reached in the Computer industry, we can discuss how OS and development works and give you some lessons. Until then, try to refrain to give help to others.

are you suere you have moved all files over (also the challenges) to the

it seems that the server can't find all your challenges and then it just goes sitting on it's behind.... you need to be sure that all challenges are loadable in the map where you expect it

(servermania will geatly relieve you of doing and checking all these things manually when it will be compatible for nations and the new server)

Excellent cause now it works like a charm om ReiserFS! Server is running like dream!

Edit: Hmmm, I'm trying to run two TMS servers, one Rounds and one Team. I make a new dedicated.cfg for team setup and change the Server port. It also runs its own matchsetting files with <game_mode>2</game_mode>, however it still shows as Rounds (not Team) and it's not possible to connect to.

If I run both Rounds and Team Server, only the Rounds server show. (and I use two different logins for the two servers). The logs for the teamserver doesn't report anything wrong;

I'm to tired to investigate further now, but can other people running Linux test to see if it works if they change the server port from 2350?

wohoo, big thanks for the new version!!!

But since today 3:43 a.m I've got a problem!

The daily 24h-disconnect came, and now, if I restart the server, it tells me, that my Server-Account is already connected with a different ip... Try again in one minute...
ok, two hours are gone, and the message still appears...

Some thing in the log is also confusing me...

I am sure I'm starting the server with /internet !

somebody else had the same problem, it takes very long for the server login to be flushed
