What i want to make clear is that you are biasing to much in this topic and letting flame topics stand in this forum.

This shouldn't be needed. It must provide a clear view of nadeo and give them solutions.
Being a forum moderator should not be related to our personal opinions on issues. We are just community members like everyone else, except we also do some forum cleanup work on the side. We try to do these moderating tasks objectively and not based on our own biases or opinions. Generally we are pretty lenient and allow people to express their opinion, if they aren't acting completely insane or very stupidly. In exchange we should also be allowed to give our own opinions in discussions... It shouldn't have any effect on the moderation of this thread, and I don't think it has.

And we are not the voice of Nadeo, as you can see from the opinion differences between Jamie and me. In fact, if you do believe we mod the forum in a biased way, at least it shows we have different biases :roflol:

It hurts me to read this kind of comment, and I imagine it pains the Nadeo staff even more. Nations is a free game to play and in that respect you do not own the game and I believe players should not complain and criticise the developers so sincerely. How many games do you know have such a huge "demo" for the full game? [/quote]

It hurts me to see my favorite game (pretty much the only one ive played during the last 2 years) being executed by a panicked overnight business decision.

ofc, i understand, thats how world is being run in general. But sad that the cancer has spread to TM too.

and you say 'free game', looks like not for long

Quite agree about the biases but why isn't there a general info topic which is locked and updated. Thats my only concern.

Feel free to make a nice comprehensive general info topic! I'm sure Nadeo has other things to do right now.

Yes, i also agree that Nadeo is the owner, and can make all decision they want.
They are adult enough to understand the conseguences of their move.
So they calculated all. :x

Hi all,

In France we are wondering about the way Nadeo is going to.

Please, use this page to vote about this new FreeZone policy :

Hope Nadeo will change its politic.

Nadeo dropped the ball on this one. Way to kill mine and many others favorite game over night.

I wish nothing but the worst for TM2 now. I won't be a part of it and I encourage anyone else that has a problem with this to do the same also.

I have bought TMU now i regret it.

Thats the problem. The high level management doesnt fully understand the consequences, cos they dont even get involved in the community the way we players do. For them its about numbers, statistics and profit. Its reality, but i try to believe they can fix TM.

TM ESWC is free, why we don't go all on it????? I have 5 TMU accounts, but i don't mind of it, i bought only to help Nadeo to keep alive, now is the moment to close TMF.
TMF will not be able to stand on its own, in this way. So let's close it directly.

To be honest, it kinda makes me annoyed that so many seem to forget how much time and effort Nadeo spent on this game to stay free for almost five years. Yes, the community has done a great job as well with inventing and improving certain aspects of the game, but cant people give something back now that Nadeo is in need of some help?

In my opinion, things were done too swiftly, however I fully understand why this had to be done. Blocking almost the whole game though is something I am not fond of, and I do not understand why it cant be done differently. I suggest a system like QuakeLive uses, where you have a "premium" account. In QuakeLive you can only do a few things with a beta-account, however with premium, you can do whatever you want to in the game. Why not invent something like that in TMNF as well? With a free account you can only access to the freezone-servers, while with premium, you can do everything that was possible before the sudden change made yesterday. I believe with this system, you'll experience lots of players going Premium simply because they love the game, and newcomers that want to try more of the game, will be interested in buying it as well. The Premium cant be too expensive though, but im sure if it cost 10-20$, people would easily buy it.
