Bullcrap! Anybody that says this hasn't spent much time playing stadium or thinks that reaching the finish with a crap time makes it "easy".
Anyone that thinks either stadium or united enviro's are harder is not "that sharp" to be fair. it is all relative, and they are completely different skill sets!

all i can say is that this is:
a) not the topic for discussing environment difficulties
b) it doesnt matter how hard the map/enviro is, it's the opponents you face that make the race "hard or not".

now, back to freezone topic...

I agree with Merlins Posting (viewtopic.php?f=24&t=27226&p=187760#p187760 ).
That could be a good solution for Nations and Unitedplayer.

Pls Nadeo, give it a try!

The changes made for Nations folks still require the MASTER servers to exist, even for Freezone GAME servers (which Nadeo now host on reduced spec hardware/hosting so I believe), so I'm struggling to understand where Nadeo saves money via the changes they have made (other than the cost of the Freezone servers)?
You misunderstood. It does not save money directly just because it's not the goal ! The goal is to change the business model of TMNF, from microsoft ads contracts (which has been stopped by MS), to a need to incitate the players to buy the game....

Too many TMNF players just played for free without willing to participate (buying the game), and i think that they observed that keeping the very open state of TMNF, it would not change. So now it's less opened: if players buy tmuf it makes money, and if ever lot of players leave the game then the masters will be less loaded, and perhaps that it would permit to reduce the number of master servers, and save few money...

I'm sure you're right. But where has NADEO said that?
Cheers!

Go and read the first post in this thread.

The goal of this operation is to better welcome the free players in a place that encourage them more to buy the paying game (TrackMania United Forever) while preserving the capacity for the most enthusiastic players to access to all servers.

Well then why not Sell licences for nations? Then your making money out of it, make it a cheap price which then allows them all back onto the servers as it used to be. Then if the nations players want to upgrade they just download and buy the united pack. Same as MS does with it's 4 billion different versions of windows :D

Just a thought :)

As far as i'm aware a german copy would be the same as we get here in the UK (A European version) so it should have all european languages contained and selectable (much the same as i could set german as the language in my UK edition).

I would suggest to login at the palyerpage and look if you have servers in your favourites which are no longer online and therefore taking a slot, which you need to add a new one.
