well..
I had a little problem after the holyday..

But its solved now..

I rendered this night, and.. heh.. i had played a little mutch before i rendered, so... the textures went buggy! :P

Well... dont know if i have said it before.. im rendering in 1280x720 resolution, so it will be two videos with diffrent resolutuion...
one 1280x720, and one 640x360.. it will be the same index in the videos.. but just diffrent res... low res for bad computers! :P (and fast download)

i missed this topic for a long time, but i see that there're 5000 replays - waiting for the movie!!

and i've got still the fastest time of all - it's cool that my car will cross the finish as the first one in the movie... 8)

Maybe you should think about finding some hosts, I guess people dont want to watch it from google or youtube when it gets out?

As i have said before: Im rendering in full quality, in 70% of all renders, so it takes alot of time rendering.
Took 35 hours, just one race, once.. rendered a race in 2 hours too.. once... the time of rendering change all the time, so its impossible to say when im finnished... Im not finnished rendering, so i have not began editing, so its no need to find host yet! Guess the best quality(for low res) would be gametrailers.com..

But im rendering in 1280x720, so.. i have to give out a downloadable HD version.. wont render unnessesery...
(sorry, but im not good to explain)

Hey hey. Don't let this die. Very late to the game here but have just read this entire epic forum. How's the video coming? Heh. Must be done by now? Oh man. That's what I get for reading a thread that feels a few years old...

As (probably) stated before, these things can take months and months because you can't really haste the rendering time. And rendering 5k replays could take a while I guess :>

do you know how much memory rendering 5k replays uses?

when the 10k project was done, the game exceeded the 2Gb of memory usage, and is thus impossible to do on a 32 bit system...(and even as long as it's 32 bit compiled...)
as much as the trackmanias may rule, carmageddon 1 & 2 are still the best games ever :D

I actually recorded about 900 of my own replays on this Splitting Hairs map myself, added cameras though I'm no pro at such things. You can see my 800 cars here: http://www.brutaldemise.com/files/800cars.rar (vid requires XviD codec)

To render it took just under 2 hours for 30 seconds of video. So it would take about 10 hours on my machine or something. Though I'm likely off on my math.

Quick question off topic:

Which codecs do you guys recommend for rendering?
