Stretchy roads. 2 things sort of. 1)lay out some roads with turns and such. Then grab one part of it and stretch the section into a new shape. Perhaps move the endpoint to another spot.
2) lay out a section of track with turns and such. then grab one point and pull the track up. teraforming will happen to support the track. or make a long U of track and pull up on one of the ends and now you have a road going up a cliff with a switchback.
#2 would be GREAT. Or even just having the ability to make a big enough hill to cover the whole area of the track piece you want to put, and then it would wind itself through the hill...terraforming happening automatically. I for one have had the biggest pain in the ass trying to build that S-shaped hill-curve road thing in the Desert environment...it would be GREAT if I could just build a two layer mountain and have it carve its own way through the rock.

True, even in stadium when i want to use some of the dirt trackpieces i almost spend more time on forming the "hill" than building the rest of the track, and it's allways in the way of other pieces.

I think a restriction on the size should stay but i dont think the restriction should be on 30+x30+ restriction but based on a the square blocks so you can make long track, "L shape" and so on

My hope:
Don't release any free version like TMN.

And many other, who are included in the wishlist from the german forum :)

No free version? Why? That would be killing the game!

Not really.
In my point of view, TMN ruined TM1

Im not against a Demo-Version of TM2 to animate the people to buy the game, but a full version for free is senseless.

TMN is not a full version, TMU is.
The success of TM comes from the success of the free version, through eswc and esl and a big open source community.
Sorry but i don't agree at all.

Of course, TMN is a full version.
It contains a complete Environment, all important features like online-modus and with TMF its also compatible with TMU.
Yes, TMU got 6 more Environments , but you can also see TMU as an Update of TMN, for which you have to pay.
The success of TM comes from the success of the free version, through eswc and esl and a big open source community.
TMN was released after TMO and TMS and both of them were very successfull.
Since TMN i feel, that the Community is changing. Every day the questions in the german forum get more stupid, Kiddys are flooding the forums and everyday there is at least one Copper-Begging-Thread.
In the official TM Forum (which you can enter from the TM-mainMenue) a lot of Nation-Players are flaming nadeo for not putting Stadium in TM2...wtf? :roflol:

Because they don't want to pay...that's what you get when you incorporate a free version into a well-loved franchise...people will buy the free version, and ONLY the free version, because they're too lazy, cheap, or whatever else to shell out money for it. It's not even like it's that expensive. What, 29.99 American if you buy direct and 8 bucks if you buy TMU on Ebay and then activate TMUF for free? Jeez...come ON people. But that's my two cents for the day. :-P

Xbody, i love this topic, would you like to copy it to the ManiaPlanet's forum, into the TM2 part?

It would be a great addition to the topics over there.
