Features to Hope For...

For instance, what if there were an Avatar Creator/Editor?

That way, whenever we have a car, our Avatar drives it, instead of it being empty! :lovetm :lovetm

They don't have to change the physics, but it'd be kinda neat if they did.
This.

Also, visual car damage (even if it's just simple stuff like in old versions of TMO)

Many more camera options

A true cockpit view especially for F1 cars

Better force feedback for steering wheels

Better analog support for pedals

Drifting mechanics similar to either Outrun 2 or Ridge Racer

Custom engine sounds and better/rougher sound effects for collisions and crashes

All I can think of for now :)

I like the 'custom car' suggestion.

No.

Trackmania doesn't work this way.

this style of drift would not ruin the way tm is to be honest, its not simulation but is arcade just like tm we know but i dont think Nadeo well want to stipulate how we drive :(

The drifting mechanics in the two games I mentioned above are pure arcade physics, and are not that differen't from the way the stadium cars drift...they're only slightly more exaggerated:

I'd like to see quicker updates on the ladder scores in-game. I finally got a lot of friends at work into TM and they've all been having fun on both solo and multi ladders trying to best each other.

But it seems that we have to wait a full day or two before some of the updates come through. I'd like to see more real-time (or maybe off by an hour) updates so those closer competitions among teams can be tracked more closely.

Anyone ever see the defect where your name shows up twice after your beat a previous official time on one computer, then log into another and it gets the update? heh

If car making works anything like it does currently, you could place where the camera goes the same way you place where the lights go, where the shadow projects, etc...

I like a new Gamemode, where cars do crash. NO GHOST CARS - CARS WITH CONFLICT

Collisions with other cars, with a New Gamemode ;)

I have three ideas:

1. A in-game scenery editor so that you can make more detailed changes to trees, bales of hay, houses, skyscrapers, etc.
2. The ability to use .jpg images from your computer's hard drive as background images for your track. There would need to be five images you could link to your track (front, back, left, right, ceiling)
3. To assist new drivers, when a track is validated for the ideal time, allow the users to see the light trails left behind by the validating car as they race. Better yet, make these light-trails color-coded by speed (red would mean top-speed, white would mean barely moving, as an example). This assist can be turned on or off at will.

1. This may be possible with the new block editor.
2. That would be cool.
3. You mean show the validated driving line?

Analog throttle would be great.
