If you own TMU, then you need to do nothing more than download the United Forever patch (http://games.softpedia.com/get/Patch/Tr ... rade.shtml) .. and viola - you have TMUF. It's a 900MB download though. The "Forever" bit of TrackMania United was a free patch on top of TrackMania United that made United and Nations network compatable. Which is why you only really see Stadium servers.

I bought TM, pre-ordered Sunrise, and took forever (heh) to get around to buying United. Not sure what I'll do with TM2 yet. Ask me when its closer to release. It'll be interesting to see whether they sell it on STEAM or not (although the STEAM pre-order prices are always crap).

I did test TMUF, and I've got the download on my external HDD. ;)

I was actually playing it last night. I've started to quite like Coast, even if I'm probably not that good at it. :gobananas:

I was just saying that I know TMUF is available as a boxed edition but I haven't found it as of yet. I've seen box-art on online stores, though.

Both seem to be in-stock.

EDIT: (Does anyone know if the boxed one still uses Starforce activation?)

As of TMU-F there is NO Starforce, irrellevant to the download version tbh, but Nadeo also removed it from the boxed edition as they came to the conclusion it wouldn`t stop it being hacked (as was TMS eventually) and this way they could use the off-line game as a way to promote people buying on-line keys as it is the on-line which truly makes TM the game it is. Also with TMU-F, if you install it and start it without a valid on-line key (un-hacked) it reverts itself into TMN-F until one is purchased.

Considering that the top sellers at Play.com currently go for either 32.49 EUR or 38.99 EUR (with free shipping) I'd be hard pressed to buy any games here.

Not to mention the danger of getting a German version that can't be installed in English and/or is censored... (well, that's probably not a problem as far as TM is concerned... :D)

Well most new games are $99.99. I think that's what I paid for TMU. I don't like buying games when they are new because they're always $100. So if TM2 were around $70 I'd definately get it. That's how much handheld games cost.

I'm confused. In the USA, PC games are typically $50 new.

Yeah, that's what I was confused about... (Although I have seen some $60 ones too every once in a while)

I think I bought TrackMania United online for somewhere around $15-$25, and I don't remember any sale going on at the time... It's fairly common to see a good game for $25 or less here though so I didn't really think much about it...

EDIT: I just checked the website, and the original prices (before the 50% deal they have now) was $25. For some reason though, I can't see the actual prices, it's not loading on my screen for some reason... just an empty button.

you could better go to europe with much dollars and change them into euros, then go to nadeo, give them the money and say you only will give them the euros if they speed up the making of TM2
