Trackmania 2: Videos and images

Now that Trackmania 2 has been announced at the Festival du Jeu Vidéo (see also the announcement thread here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=22933), we want to see more of it of course. So let's gather media about TM2 in here to make it easy to find. So far there's only media from people who were at the presentation.

looks like the way mountains (elevations) are constructed in the editor has changed as well.... i see real time reflections, blooming.. higher poly car's.. real poly tree's (finally!) ... stunning visual's and a great update to the graphics engine!

As the name indicates, it's a new game. It's probably called 2 because it won't have the environments from previous games (unlike United), or maybe because they want to show that it's a new start.
I guess it's similar to Guild Wars 2, there have been a bunch of Guild Wars games before it that were similar to the original but with different content, but now they're making an new start and calling it 2.

But... what if... TM2 will be TMUF-uncompatible?

I mean we will lose all our records, buddies, Ladder Points and older enviros... ;'(
I will especially miss Stadium and Island.

All the tracks available on TMX won't be compatible either, but there will be many new tracks then...

people will most likely remake their tracks,

It's gonna be a new start for all of us (and I am sure you will still be able to play old TMUF as well, if you dont like the new version :wink:

Speaking of it not being compatible with TMU, is there any indication anywhere of how much it will cost? I'm guessing much more then tmu. :roll:
