I input all the fields correctly and I get:

Code: Select all

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 110 in /home/crazyfor/public_html/stats/includes/db_connect.php on line 2

Warning: mysql_select_db(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/crazyfor/public_html/stats/includes/db_connect.php on line 3
My config is this:

Code: Select all

// Server 1
$i = 0;
$server_name[$i] = "CrAzY Gaming"; // Paste your Servername here
$db_host[$i] = "xxx.xx.xxx.xx"; // Your database host. most times localhost
$db_name[$i] = "xxxxxx"; // The Name of the Database
$db_user[$i] = "xxxxxx"; // The User for your database
$db_pass[$i] = "xxxxxxxx"; // The db password for the defined User
$ip2[$i] = "xxx.xx.xxx.xx"; // Here you MUST enter your Gameserver IP Adress
$ip[$i] = "xxx.xx.xxx.xx"; // If the script is on the same Server as the Gameserver set "localhost" if not enter your Gameserver IP again!
$port[$i] = xxxx; // The XML_RPC Port of your TMU Server
$server_port[$i] = xxxx; // The GameServer Port to check for On or Offline Status
$user[$i] = "xxxxxxxxxx";					// SuperAdmin Login
$pass[$i] = "xxxxxxxx";                             // SuperAdmin Password
$stunt[$i] = 0;								// 0 = false; 1 = true;

/*
Thanks
Is this script on the same server as the database?

If so, can you double check the db_host, user, name and password entries - I think something here doesn't match. Also I have the host and ip set as 127.0.0.1 and ip2 set as the actual ip. Then double check you have entered the ports properly, and obviously your superadmin login and pass needs to match as well.

Please let us know when you have checked all of this.

Other than that, if the script is on a different server to the game server, make sure the database user is allowed remote access rights.

Edit: You could also try to increase the connect timeout of MySQL and see if that helps.

Edit2: Also,could you try changing the code in db_connect.php from this:

Code: Select all

<?php
$db = mysql_connect($db_host[$serv], $db_user[$serv], $db_pass[$serv]) or ("Error connecting to MySQL database.");
mysql_select_db($db_name[$serv],$db);
//$SQL_Characters="SET NAMES utf8";
//$charset=mysql_query($SQL_Characters);
?>
to this:

Code: Select all

<?php
$db = mysql_connect($db_host[$serv], $db_user[$serv], $db_pass[$serv]) or die(mysql_error());
mysql_select_db($db_name[$serv],$db)or die(mysql_error());
//$SQL_Characters="SET NAMES utf8";
//$charset=mysql_query($SQL_Characters);
?>
and let us know the output of that please ?

Well, as long as the ip's and the rest of the config is good I think this looks like a permissions problem. Does the user for that database have remote access permissions ? You can check this in for example phpMyAdmin.

This link might help you out with that if you're unsure - http://wiki.uniformserver.com/index.php ... privileges

Also, looking at this page http://www.crazygaming.co.tv/stats/?ser ... ge=players makes me think you have set localhost as the ip and/or db_host, if this is on a different server you'll need to use the db and game server ip's.

Nice one w1lla, I still haven't got tm2 yet so its gonna be a bit hard for me to test, but some time in the future I'll maybe get it - does anyone know how the controls compare to stadium in tmf though ?

hi dudes,

Im wondering about "Average" stats on XAseco Website Stats.

I mean, if you go to the Players Section u can see the Average of every Player, but what does it means? How does it wokrs?

I thought it was the avarage just between your positions and the number of players, but i think im missing something else...

¿Anybody knows the correct formula?

Ty dudes

I'm pretty sure its also to do with how many tracks you've raced on the server and your position on each track as well. (uses the same average from XAseco ingame)

Everything you need to know is in the readme file. If you still get stuck after reading that, send me a pm and i'll give you a hand.

Hi Ant, yes I thought the same as you. But I realised that is not as simple as we believe because I did that formula manually and was not the same as on the web page. Check it-> http://df.servegame.com/copa/index.php? ... ge=players(All players did the same amount of races)

I still believe we are forgetting something... :S

hmm yeah, well I know it uses the average from XAseco in game so maybe Xymph can shed some light on exactly how that is calculated.

Ranks are computed by averaging your records for all tracks currently on the server, with your record taken as #maxrecs on tracks where you don't yet have one.
