we run mostly only TMX tracks (so all tracks are custom too ;) )

Fast include a map voting, but without associated feature to remove "bad" maps or such, i don't think that there is actually a 3rd party plugin doing it (but perhaps i missed a plugin feature)

Actually no mysql needed : records are retrieve/sent to Dedimania server, the votes are in a text/xml file, and if you use the glider and/or mcm plugins, they store info in files too. Perhaps later there will be use of local mysql for optional features, but it is not the case actually.

No i mean... If you have ever been around Aseco, they have that karma thing... so you can tell if people LIKE a map.

thats what i want =P so i can take maps that people dont like off my server.

I believe that's what the /vote command is for :wink: Now, the next problem is getting people to actually vote, and further, getting reliable votes (instead of n00bs voting bad on skill maps, and ubers voting bad on beginner maps). Someone suggested forcing people to vote, and even kicking players who keep refusing to vote, but I think that is a bit extreme...

Forcing to vote would make some players angry about it and vote stupidly...

I planed to store votes on dedimania with records, because having only votes from those who have made a record would probably be more reliable, because they played the map enough to really have an opinion about it. At least more reliable than those who drove it one time and give up. But i still did not had/taken time to do it...

well if i can say i think that a GOOD/Bad /UNDECITED
pannel at the bottom at the changing of tracks would be nice and a karma display

I do have xaseco with this option running and players do use it a lot

It displayes if the track is liked by the amount of cups filled up in yellow are the amount its unliked by the less amount also it gives a server message every now and then about the karma on that track on your server
Fast is great the way it is i love the look and the control you have with it over all the Asecos and Xasecos
but the Karma idea is a good idea in my opion

That must be A/R2. XAseco doesn't have such a panel.

XAseco allows the admin to configure a requirement that players have finished the track at least once (or more) before accepting their karma vote, and another option can remind the player to vote, using a chat message at the end of the track or even after every finish.

That's another panel, the karma widget with white/yellow cups is part of Fufi's widgets.

ya it might be the Aseco not Xaseco was just saying that its a cool idea

also yes the Karma thing is the widgets also was just saying its a nice add on thats all

Is there a guide on how to set this up that is NOT in broken english? the one that came with the download... needs alot of help lol

If you mean Fast, then tell me what is so difficult to understand in the install files...

i really dont understand remotely how to install plugins and put them on my server.

sorry for being a nub but could someone give me a rough idea? :(

is there an option to kick players automatically when the net loss counter is at maybe 30 seconds?


@killswitch: just put your plugins in the plugin folder and restart FAST

yes, just uncomment and change those values at end of fast.php :

// set milliseconds without known network activity before kick player
$_NetStats_KickTime_Playing = 900000;

thx slig. that´s why I like FAST. you wish something and it´s already there :lol:

btw, am I right with this ?:

$_NetStats_KickTime_Playing = 900000 means kick after 900 seconds if a player doesn´t drive. (does this also affect spectators?)

$_NetStats_KickTime_Synchro = 300000 means kick if the counter of NetLost is at 300 seconds.

correct ?
