__live.sh transport error

Post by Muke » 25 Feb 2010 20:59

Hi all,

When I try to start __live.sh, i receive this error:
[remoteCP Notice] transport error - Client not initialized [-32300]

I already search the forums and google but nothing solves this error.

Anyone know what I do wrong?
Thanks!

(Below server.xml and dedicated_cfg.txt. The used OS is ubuntu server)

hi,

99% sure, but thats version 4.0.3.5? Allways write which version you are using :)
Do you updated from a previous version? Check if the /xml/settings/settings.xml is not an old version, this file contains some timeout settings that where not available in previous versions.

Yes, I am using version 4.0.3.5. It is a clean install, never used remoteCP before :D .

I checked the settings.xml file and it contains the timeout tags:

Code: Select all

	<!-- timeout for socket connections -->
	<timeouts>
		<!-- in seconds for connections -->
		<!-- see php manual: fsockopen() -->
		<connect>5</connect>
		<!-- in seconds for read / write operations -->
		<!-- see php manual: stream_set_timeout() -->
		<readwrite>20</readwrite>
	</timeouts>
It seems that I also have a problem with the regular remoteCP pages. I get the following error when I log in:

Code: Select all

[remoteCP Notice] Serverconnection not available! remoteCP turned to offline-mode, this is not a error message!
Any other suggestions?

Thanks for you're reply Sascha!

Is the server running?
If yes, on some host or different hosts?

Question from Sascha was whether the script and the dedicated are running on the same host or different ones...

Oh, I misunderstood that.
Yes, they are running on the same host.

yeah my fault, "some isn't the same as "same" :gobananas:

btt: I currently have no clue :(
Try replacing localhost by 127.0.0.1 or something. Do you tried any other servertool?
