Admin / LocalDB Records Panel

Post by Xanland » 18 Dec 2008 19:41

Hello all,

At the moment I am busy with configuring a server for my/a LAN-party. But I have 2 problems, my first problem is that I can find't how to make myself admin, I think I need to do someting in the admingroups.xml and add

Code: Select all

<TM_LOGIN>Xanland</TM_LOGIN>
between the SuperAdmin tags, but I am not sure. So how to do this?

My second question is about the LocalDB Records Panel, I saw it in another server. They just showed number 1, 2 and 3 and your own score with 4 above and 4 under you. How can I make that, I already looked in the plugin.records.php-file, but I couldn't find anything usefull. So again: how do I need to do this? :+

Thank you for your help already. :)

(Kind) Regards,
Xanland.
P.S.: I just can use ODBC connection for the LocalDB, right?

look at the fufi widgets plugin to add the records panel on the side. and as far as records goes, i think you have to use mysql, but i am not sure.

Nope, must be MySQL as all of the code is written to use it.

So it's not possible to have the MySQL DB on Server A and TMNF on Server B?

yea, its possible, look at the config for the localdb, its set by default to use localhost and that is changeable. not sure what the performance hit for having a remote database is though, especially if it was outside of a lan, and also, why not just have it be local?
