[05/01/08] ASECO TMF 2.1.0 (RASP included)

Post by Flo » 21 Apr 2008 17:34

Hello folks,

this is the new Aseco release (Assembler Maniac and me have worked out) which will hopefully run more stable and fix some bugs ...
Changes and readme are available online now on http://www.floschnell.de/aseco/documentation.

Download
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfil ... _id=185142

Changes
 new - Admin Panel (/admin or clicking the Admin button on the task bar) can now have items added from other plugins on it, and will dynamically size itself
 new - Admin Groups available - see newinstall/admingroups.xml for how to set it up
 new - Any chat command can have an AuthItem Name associated with it, if someone doesn't have admin auth for that item, they can't use it
 new - Any AuthItem not found in the xml file will be added and xml file will be updated
 new - Readme now on the ASECO website for easier updates and referencing. Will be expanded to have docs on what plugins do and how to use them
 new - event onGameModeChange, parameter is new mode as text
 new - event onPlayerManialinkPageAnswer, parm is same as actual callback
 change - for plugins with message output, blanking the message or deleting it, will no longer create a blank line in chat
 - too many other changes for stability to keep track of
 - online documentation for always up to date info (http://www.floschnell.de/aseco/documentation)

RASP changes
 new - rasp_jukebox - when using writetracklist, if the file already exists, it will be renamed (yyyy-mm-dd hhmmss.txt) and moved to the History folder
 fix - rasp_jukebox - when using writetracklist, file written into matchsettings folder where it belongs
 fix - rasp_jukebox - TMX Search not defaulting to right server type in jukebox due to "=" being used instead of "==" in a comparison
 change - matchsave2 - should now be working (finally), but still needs some visual updating when I get a chance to do it
 new - onKarmaChange event added - allows other tools to see karma changes that they didn't initiate
 fix - no more karma problem where changing your vote screwed up the counts
 new - Replay Track added to admin panel
 new - /add, /admin add, /tlist and associated help now display which TMX sites are available dynamically (no more hardcode of the list)
 fix - karma voting fixed so a changed vote doesn't screw up the counts

For the PubDb:
Create your account on http://www.floschnell.de/aseco/createacc.php.
For more information, on how to run the pubdb, take a look on the chapter in the documentation: http://floschnell.de/aseco/documentation/#publicdb
If you want to view some statistics then visit Aseco's website at http://www.floschnell.de/aseco!

For Developers:
Since version 2.0 there's nothing changed ...
But, you will be able to post your plugins on the website soon!

cheers! :1

NICE ONE!!!! :gobananas: :gobananas: :gobananas:

Q. Is the 'Public Database' like dedimania in that it gives global records or does it just give local records? (that might sound like a silly question)

Yes, similar to dedimania. It uses mysqli to connect to the data. It's been extremely stable and doesn't have the timeout issues that the old pubdb did.

Global/local records aren't separate anymore, they all display as if it were one giant recordset.

[Aseco] Try to connect to server on 127.0.0.1:5000
[PHP Warning] fsockopen(): unable to connect to 127.0.0.1:5000 (Connection refused) on line 472 in file /home/letsrock/forever/aseco/includes/GbxRemote.inc.php
[ASECO Error] Connection could not be established! on line 330 in file /home/letsrock/forever/aseco/aseco.php
[04/21,20:16:37] Beginning to shutdown Aseco due to an error ...
Strange error, considering that's not the port I have configured in the config.... :?

Seems the configs can't be parsed... probably something I did..

Unless this is a brand new setup, your existing config.xml should be fine.

It just won't parse the config... probably something to do with file/user permissions (so nevermind, it's just me, hehe).

please post your config.xml, hide/delete the password
more of the console info would be good, start right after the plugins are loaded

That looks like the port you used isn't the right one and it can't understand the response from the tmf server.

For people with connection problems where it can't seem to get the right config info for main aseco (not localdb):

Is config.xml in same folder as main aseco program?

The zip file is set up so that it's impossible to accidently overwrite your config, so all the files for a new install are in the "newinstall" folder, they need to be copied into the main aseco folder and edited there.

Pretty much the same here, besides the port. I've checked everything a dozen times over, and it seems alright (it's not like I haven't done this before, hehe).

Edit: And yes, the config is in the right folder... :roflol:
