AA enabled > low quality textures

Post by Terron » 22 Mar 2011 19:12

hi all, a few days ago I purchased ASUS EEE 1015PN netbook, I did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional with all drivers from ASUS site, then I installed TMUF and when I enable AA (2x, 4x or 8x) I will get very blurred textures, you can see them here (8x AA enabled):

when I disable AA, everything is ok so where is the problem?
PC parameters are:
CPU: Intel Atom N550 (2x 1.5GHz + HT)
RAM: 1GB DDR3 1333MHz
GPU: Intel GMA 3150 (256MB shared) + NVIDIA ION2 (GT218M - 512 MB GDDR3 VRAM) - optimus (automatic GPU switching) enabled

My TM settings are:
Shader: PC2
Texture quality: High
Shadows: Medium
Post Process FX: ON (Motion Blur, dynamic colors and bloom are DISABLED)
Water geometry: ON
High quality trees: ON

thanks for any help, I want AA as DGPU can handle it

From looking at your post, maybe this is already ok - but this is something I found that could help

I have W7 Pro I have Professional so my graphics switch looks a bit different (I dont have Power saving mode but I have Optimus mode instead) and I dont want to have ION enabled all the time, it discharges battery two times faster and generate more heat, optimus mode is good because it enables ION GPU only when game is launched
