My computer is fairly good, and I have no idea why the maps are taking long to load but everything else is okay, can anybody give me ideas or help me out?

Maps are taking forever to load!
All the maps on Trackmania Nations Forever are taking forever to load. The custom ones and ones made by Nadeo. In the menu everything runs smoothly, the gameplay runs smoothly, but the maps take about 3 minutes to load... Each! Here is information about my computer:

try clean cache and defragment your HDD

TM Launcher > Configure (button) > Advanced (button) > Compatibility (button) > makes sure Lightmap quality setting is on "2k^2" > Lightmap quality on "Normal" > Vertex processing is on "Hardware" > CPU/GPU synchro is "Immediate".
Those are default settings (here), but if you changed any (particularly the lightmaps), each track's lightmaps have to be computed to the option you might have chosen, and it can take minutes for each track! Ouch.
