Re: Anyone have/use the Logitech momo?

Real men turn ForceFeedback off anyway. Ruins all precision! ;)

Re: Suggestion for "Trackmania Forever" (If possible).

Extremely late suggestion, but small thing ;)

- Disallow CR/LF in nicknames (or whatever char causing the linefeed-effect). Somewhat annoying when people type stuff and their nick pops up on line line and the rest of what they type on another.

Re: Applying camera presets to keypad buttons

I have camera 1 and 3 bound to the shoulderbuttons on my gamepad, and it works fine. I use it for what you mention, swapping to inside camera for loops and wallrides; swapping back afterwards. As far as the camera presets go, I have no idea what these are - I'm assuming they're saved camera position...

Re: Suggestion : TMU-F and TMN-F need this feature so badly ^^

I'm fairly opposed to the whole weather-condition thing people have been clamoring about, to be honest. Simply making all surfaces more slippery to varying degrees would seem to be the end result for all types of "weather". I don't care too much for the slippery stuff to start with (grass, dirt, ice...

Re: Lost tracks

If you saved the settings directory (ie something like documents and settings/user/my games/trackmania united/), all you should have to do is find the gamedata/tracks subdir, and copy any .gbx files from your backup into your current settings dir. If you merely saved the game installation dir, I fea...

Re: Lost tracks

Short answer: Nope. Long answer: It might (but that's a big might) be possible with harddrive recovery tools. Been a while since I tried this myself (back with Win98, I think) and it was only on a deleted file and right after I accidentally nuked it - ie not long after a format. But in principle it ...

Re: Suggestion for "Trackmania Forever" (If possible).

A little something I thought of when watching the finals for nordic rumble on paflive today, and one of the rounds was cancelled because one of the players got the infernal ladder-message in the middle of the round.. Y'know, the "Could not connect to blabla". Would it be possible to just remove this...

Re: 10 FPS on lowest possible quality in TMN

Someone mentioned graphics card temp. What about the CPU? Intel CPUs in particular will throttle their speed if they become too hot. I've actually had some problems in the past with a particular brand of cooling paste that would "dry out" every once in a while and end up conducting heat about as wel...

Re: Suggestion for "Trackmania Forever" (If possible).

While I'm not directly opposed to adding an additional digit, I'm not entirely for it either. On proper tracks it happens so rarely it's more of an amusing novelty the few times it occurs. On a side note, this would depend on how accurate time synchronization/stuff between clients is. I've often won...

Re: Anyone have/use the Logitech momo?

Tried using my MOMO for TMU once, and ran screaming back to my pad within half an hour. I hear some of the best players do use a wheel, but the transition was too crazy for me ;)

Re: Trackmania United is giving me some SERIOUS technical BS

Does this happen for TMU exclusively, or other games as well? I've had very nearly the exact same problem. Games (all games, though, not just TM) would play for about 40-60 minutes.. Then total freeze. Image would be frozen, music would keep playing, but it would basically be impossible to do anythi...

Re: Donuts in one direction but not in the other?

This is very much a keyboard-problem. Not all keyboards are created equal. Have a look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollover_%28key%29 Most keyboard players work around this by binding an additional brake key somewhere else on the keyboard - which is on another switchmatrix. W if you use the arrow-...

Re: Suggestion for "Trackmania Forever" (If possible).

Just had another couple of silly ideas. Probably much too late.. Maybe something for Trackmania Forever+1 in 2009/10 ;) In the TM-games currently, when you save multiplayer replays, opponents' wheels don't spin. This of course doesn't look that great when shooting videos and all cars but your own ju...
