Re: Upcoming ASECO/RASP v0.8 release

Did you guys know about the trackref.txt file that resides in the TMX folder when using RASP? It has the track id and actual name in it so you can which is which. I hadn't really looked into that bit of code (and the feature isn't documented in your Readme.txt :P) but now that I did, I see that "/a...

Re: IMPORTANT: Trackmania eXchange Downtime

For backups across the 'net I strongly recommend using rsync: http://rsync.samba.org/ This is a Unix tool, but there's a Windows package (together with Cygwin) called cwRsync too: http://itefix.no/cwrsync/ Of course your initial backup to the remote machine needs to be a full one, but thereafter rsy...

Re: Upcoming ASECO/RASP v0.8 release

When I first started reading the list of features, the first thing that honestly came to mind was if I tried this out, how much work would it be to hack in all my and others' mods and plugins. But after reading the whole list, it seems you pretty much have everything (even mine), and then some... T...

Upcoming ASECO/RASP v0.8 release

As evidenced by the many TrackMania (Nations) servers running it, the ASECO/RASP system for TMO/TMS/TMN is a very popular package to keep track of records and offer players various useful commands and features. But its original authors have moved on to TMU, so I have been working at the system on my...

Re: idea: message player online and ...

I have a idea then a player go online on my server I get a email to a dedicated eamil address You sure you want a mail for every join? Unless you're running a very unpopular server, that's like a recipe for spamming yourself. E.g. there's 300-600 player joins on my server per day , an...

Re: TMN:?? HowTo determine clientname ??

Yes, ClientName is the computer name you can set in System Properties. That's why it's not guaranteed to be unique, and I think it's even likely that computers from the same manufacturer with a factory installed Windows can have the same names, e.g. SHUTTLE. As nicknames can also be easily duplicate...

Re: TMN:?? HowTo determine clientname ??

the ban bans the ip also, if u are baned u can create a new login and still cannot join the server until u get a new ipadress, so the posibility of affectin innocent ppl is already given...so i think that most players can change their login and reconnect to the isp very easyli, but most of the user...

Re: TMN:?? HowTo determine clientname ??

I don't know what you would need it for. if you want do ban someone, use $aseco->addCall("Ban", array($player->login)); and for unbanning $aseco->addCall("UnBan", array($player->login)); That UnBan doesn't work as it takes a ClientName instead of a Login (unless that's an error in ListMethods.html)...

Re: TMN:Aseco Plugin Votelimit

Okay, I can follow the overall steps, but that still doesn't explain why you're using low-level IXR calls instead of the standard $aseco->client->query call. Can you elaborate? What does setting up a $newclient achieve that normal calls don't? nothing at all, but my problem is that i cannot program...

Re: TMN:Aseco Plugin Votelimit

Interesting plugin. Can you explain why you're using the low-level IXR functions to initiate these votes? E.g. what does this bit of code do exactly? $aseco->client->query('SetCallVoteRatio', $callvoteratio); //execute the kick vote $newclient = new IXR_Client_Gbx(); $newclient->Init($serverport); $...

Force round end for Aseco 0.61b

One of the most useful admin commands on a rounds server is to be able to force the end of a round when nobody reaches the finish, without fully restarting the track. Yet bafflingly that command was missing from chat.admin.php in Aseco 0.61b for TMN/TMO/TMS. It is however very easy to add. Define th...

Re: Rasp 1.5 / Aesco 0.61b

I've got a different problem now. When there is a new record, it shows an empty line in TMN. Before RASP was installed there was a line viewable :( Do you know what it could be ? Those messages come from the *.xml files, specifically config.xml and localdatabase.xml. An empty output line means that...
